Finally An Update From Anneke's!!!

My sincerest apologies for having gone off the screen for so long, but I cannot even begin to tell you how incredibly BUSY I have been! First of all, it took me a good two weeks to move ALL the stuff out that huge warehouse, I guess it is only when you move that you realize how much stuff you really have.... Then, I decided that this would be a great opportunity to do inventory, something that is so hard to do in the midst of running the business... And guess what, that took me well over two weeks, incredible!!
I have now finally settled on the new location (I am still keeping it a secret though, until I am ready to open up for business!!!) and now the fun begins. I will start to paint, to decorate, order new merchandise and have everything just perfect for the Grand Opening. Just remember that I said it will be smaller, Ok?... I am hoping for a December 1st opening, but it may be December 15th... Soon I will start to post pictures of the progress I am making.

Yesterday was the first day of our "Moving and Sample SALE" and what an incredibly busy day it was!! The store was hopping from the moment it opened until we closed at 6pm, just hopping. I want to thank all the ladies who helped me out, I could not have done it without you!! Diane for minding the door making sure Gigi was safe, and for helping customers...., both Mary's for helping with winding yarns, Emily for helping with customers all afternoon, Ann for teaching cast-on methods!!, and of course for the delicious Pizza... and Aileen, Sophie and her Mom for holding and spoiling the kittens.... Thank you all!!

This absolutely gorgeous throw is Hara's version of the "Almond" throw in the Colinette "Orchard" book. Instead of using Colinette yarns, Hara knitted it in the Prism Confetti Big Ball, along with some Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere and some AslanTrends Class. Thank you for allowing us to display this beautiful piece in the shop, it was a real treat!

MOVING SALE!!

As promised, Anneke's Needleworks will be moving to a smaller location! The current location at 7440 SW 50th Terrace will close at the end of September and the new location will open up on November 1st. Stay tuned for details!

Hemingway (polydactyl = 6 toes) Kittens Available!!

We have some adorable 5 week-old kittens available for adoption this weekend. They are Hemingway (6 toes) kittens which makes them even more adorable!! Stop by the shop if you are interested in taking one of these little ones home.

Summer Hours & Christmas in July!

We hope that those of you who are toughing it out and are in South Florida for these hot summer months, are having a great summer! Of course we also wish a great summer to those of you lucky enough to escape for a while.... so jealous...
As we have done every year at Anneke's, we are cutting back our hours so that we can get some much needed R&R and time with family! As announced, we will be closed Wednesday July 7th and Thursday July 8 and for the remainder of the month of July we will be open Thurs and Friday from 12 to 4, Saturday 11 to 5 and Sunday 12:30 to 5. We will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In order to watch the Final of the World Cup, we will change our hours on Sunday July 11th. We will be open from 10:00-2:00.
In August we will keep the same hours as in July but we will close one week (to be announced) from Monday thru Friday.... In order to make it up to, we will continue our Christmas in July Sale, 25% off storewide.
